LAVCO repairs Gas and Air Compressor Cylinders of different stages and other applications, used in different fields such as: Petroleum Refineries, Petrochemical and Fertilizer Industries, and Natural Gas Compression Stations.
We follow the API 618 Standard that guarantees a superior quality service level. Lavco offers NDT (Non Destructive Testings) such us: Magnetic-Particles, Penetrant Liquid, in order to verify the physical integrity of the Cylinder.
GENERAL METHOD OF CYLINDER COMPRESSOR REPAIRING PROCESS IN INDUSTRIAS LAVCO:
1. Reception of the Cylinder in our facilities. Initial Metrological Inspection. 2. Machining of the inner diameter. Visual inspections, metrology report of the cylinder bore. Ovals and deformations are corrected in the cylinder bore. 3. Liquid Penetrant Test is conducted on the bore of the cylinder. This test follows strictly the procedure described in API Standard 618. 4. Hydrostatic Test Preparation. 5. Manufacturing process of the liner using the Centrifugall Casting process according to the ASMT A48. 6. Assembly of the new Liner into the Cylinder. 7. Honing of the inner diameter of the Liner. 8. Final Metrology Control Report collecting the details of the process. Painting, protection and stow of the cylinder.
ACTIVITIES INCLUDED IN THE PROCESS
Definition of diameters. Cylinder boring and grinding. Liquid permanent Test. Hydrostatic Test Brushed (honing)of the internal diameter and correction of ports. Honing of the inner diameter and correction of valves ports. Heat resistant painting application, rust preventative protection, packing and stowage of the cylinder.
